Reviews of Companion Pro Hiker 2 Hiking Tent
Companion Pro Hiker 2 Hiking Tent(5) By: Nicholas Bell on 7 September 2018I looked at all sorts of tents some more than double the price. I go on Dukevof Ed hikes 2 or three times a year and just wanted a 2 person tent with a tough waterproof floor and fly. At 2.7kg it’s on the heavy side for hiking but it can easily sleep 2, so someone else can carry the food! I recently spent 2 night up at Yango NP and it rained on and off for 3 days, heavily at times. It stayed dry inside. Easy to put up with 2 poles. For the cost I’m really happy
Companion Pro Hiker 2 Hiking Tent(5) By: Paul on 12 June 2018Needed a 1 man tent with leg and head room, so chose this one based on lots of positive reviews and good price. We campled over the June long-weekend near Canberra, night was below 0. Tent performed well, there was plenty of room for my gear to be kept out of the weather and dry. Easy to pack up and compress down. This is called a two man tent but is really ideal for one adult. Could squeeze in a child if needed.
Companion Pro Hiker 2 Hiking Tent(5) By: Carolin Wallbridge on 14 December 2017I'm a regular weekend camper (at least once a month) and I've used this tent for about 6 years across all seasons (Victoria). In winter I use a down sleeping bag with blanket on top, there is definitely a breeze through the mesh doors. It's quick to put up and makes a lovely 'nest' for one person and gear inside. There's enough room for 2 people if you keep most of your gear in the vestibules. Solid tent, only used the guy ropes once during a thunderstorm in an open camp site. Great quality zips, etc.
Companion Pro Hiker 2 Hiking Tent(5) By: MV on 18 November 2017Great spring/summer tent. The two doors are only mesh so it gets a little nippy with flow through. Easy and light enough to throw on the back of a motorcycle with other camping hear and enough room for one person plus motorcycle gear. Height, shape good to change in as well. So easy to order and super quick delivery.
Companion Pro Hiker 2 Hiking Tent(5) By: Callum on 8 May 2017Impressed with the tent, especially for the price. It weighs 2.7kg which is perfect for hiking with. Really liked the dry-bag that the tent comes in too. Easy to set up and break down, the stakes are lightweight and have sharpened ends which is useful for hard ground. The doors on either side of the tent make it perfect for two people camping. It was definitely snug for my friend and I width wise, but we managed. length was perfect, I am 193 cm and I could extend fully in the bag. The only drawback of the tent is that the doors you zip up on the tent are only mesh. Other tents I use have the mesh material and then an additional plastic layer you can zip up over it. Because it is only mesh, it gets quite cold in the tent. I would not use this tent in the cold without suitable sleeping bags and clothing.
