The brand new Yamaha EF2000iS Inverter Generator delivers maximum output with minimum effort. This ingenious generator is powerful, portable and super sleek with lots of great features. Not only does the EF2000iS outperform the competition, but it's quieter, smaller and lighter.
Weighing in at only 20kg, this mighty mouse has enough power to run a microwave oven, a camping fridge, a kettle or a television. It is fitted with a newly designed muffler and air filter to achieve super quiet performance. Its advanced noise block sound reduction system means you can have a conversation without raising your voice. In fact, it is so quiet that you will not even notice that it is running, which you, and your neighbours, will appreciate around the campsite.
Its small size, ease of use and handling make the EF2000iS a perfect companion away from the campsite as well. It can be used at home as a standby generator or to provide power for anywhere from construction sites, to markets, to running outdoor sound systems.
The EF2000iS is also equipped with a parallel use function for when additional power is needed to accommodate a wider range of uses, such as running a combination of appliances in a motorhome or caravan.

Fuel Gauge: Displays fuel levels without having to open the fuel cap.
Auto-Decompression System: Reduces compression for effortless starting.
Electrical Overload Breaker: Prevents generator damage in case of overload.
Controls Located On One Panel: For easy access.
DC Outlet: With 8 Amp / 12 Volt outlet for charging batteries (cables included).
Rubber Isolation Feet: For smooth operation and noise absorption.
Easily Detachable Side Panels: For easier serviceability.
Noise Block™ Sound Reduction System: For performance so quiet, you’ll forget the generator is even running.
Multi-Polar Alternator: For the generation of high quality, high frequency 3-phase AC current. This means a much lighter and a more compact unit when compared to conventional 2-pole rotor type alternators.
What is an Inverter System?
An inverter system stabilizes the amount of voltage and frequency produced by a petrol engine driven alternator through the supply of "sine wave" electricity, with a distortion ratio of less than 3%. That's why Yamaha Inverters are the ideal power source when using precision equipment or micro-computer controlled electrical appliances.
More Controlled, Clean Power
Yamaha's Inverter system produces AC current within a controlled electrical circuit process, known as PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). As a result, fluctuations in engine speed do not affect the voltage or frequency of the electrical output while at the same time reducing output emissions.
Multi-Polar Alternator System
The adoption of a multi-polar alternator enables the generation of more efficient, high frequency 3-phase AC current that the inverter than turns into single phase. The high efficiency alternators on a Yamaha Inverter achieve a much lighter and more compact generating unit than conventional 2-pole rotor type alternators.
Yamaha's Smart throttle feature automatically adjusts the engine speed to precisely match the energy load. This means much quieter, more efficient engines that run and last longer.
Unbeatable Noise Block
Yamaha's Noise Block feature, an acoustically engineered sound reduction system, utilises various sound absorbing materials, moulded cases, an intake silencer, fibreglass insulation, plus newly designed mufflers and fans to provide virtually silent running while maintaining the highest quality performance.
Quiet Muffler & Low Oil Shut-off
At the heart of every generator is a strong Yamaha engine that delivers powerful and consistent performance, that's so quiet you'll forget it's running. Every generator includes an approved spark arrestor and a low oil shut-off system for long life and added peace of mind.

Reviews of Yamaha EF2000iS Silent Inverter Generator - 2000W
Yamaha EF2000iS Silent Inverter Generator - 2000W(1) By: Anthony Morgans on 4 February 2017This product failed the test .Compared to the Honda generator of the same size the Yamaha warning light came on.I have wasted my money and have borrowed a Honda from my neighbour. The Yamaha is back in its box.
Tentworld ResponseThanks for your review. Sorry to hear you're not satisfied with your new genny. What you've described sounds strange. Please contact us so we can identify what is going wrong with your new Yamaha and help get this sorted for you. Thanks, Tentworld Team.
Yamaha EF2000iS Silent Inverter Generator - 2000W(3) By: L Badger on 21 January 2017I bought this generator to use around my home in South Aus because of the frequent blackouts recently. It is easy to start and the runs the home fridge and a few lights very well. However it is not silent as the name implies and I could not run it late at night without annoying the neighbours. I was also hoping that it would run my caravan aircon (Coleman-Mack 47000 series draws 1kW when running). The generator overload light comes on and the aircon fails to start. I had a Honda eu20i with my previous van and it started and ran the aircon quite happily.
Tentworld ResponseGlad you're enjoying your new Yamaha generator! Agreed, it is certainly not silent but in the world of generators it is as quiet as they get. If your neighbourhood is in blackouts, I'd imagine that if you offer to store some of their meat for them. They'd happily tolerate your generator! But if you put it beside some bushes, I doubt much noise will make it to their houses. In regards to running your caravans AC. I havent been able to find the watt consumption for your particular model. But as a general rule, 2KVA generators are not sufficient for caravan air conditioners. It is true the Honda can sometimes start airconditioners when the Yamaha cant. Honda are prepared to stress their engine harder than Yamaha is, neither brand recommend it be used for AC as when the AC is working hard, neither generator can handle it. This is usually in summer when you want it the most! The best bet for your caravan AC is to buy the Yamaha EF2400 genny. It's slightly bigger, and gives you that little bit of extra capacity needed to run your caravans aircon through summer. This was the main reason why Yamaha created this size generator, and is unique in the market today. Hope this helps, and I hope you dont find yourself needing your genny too much with the power problems in SA. Cheers Jon
Yamaha EF2000iS Silent Inverter Generator - 2000W(5) By: Kelvin Banks on 11 October 2016I saw this product advertised on by Pat Callinin on the 4x4 show. I picked this brand because of the low noise. Unit runs well, puts out the correct voltage and is definitely very quiet. I would recommend this unit.
