BlackWolf Turbo Lite Cabin 450 Tent(5) By: Madonna on 28 April 2019We have camped with our Blackwolf Turbo Lite Cabin 450 tent two times now and both times this tent has not let us down. It was certainly put to the test this week. We have just returned from 9 nights on Fraser Island where we encountered 3 massive storms on the first 3 nights with high winds and very heavy rain. Our tent stood up to all mother nature had to throw at her. Knowing we were going to Fraser my husband had the foresight to purchase large sand pegs and made a few of his own guy ropes with springs and this did help. But in normal camping conditions with perfect weather you do not need these additions. Our tent was so comfortable and stayed dry the whole time. I was sad to pack it up and come home.
BlackWolf Turbo Lite Cabin 450 Tent(4) By: Rob on 8 February 2019All round good tent, appears to be well made however one major fault is the windows don't have a zip all the way around, so in high winds dust gets in under the window flaps and coats everything inside - including the people. Would be good if the tent could be completely sealed from the outside if weather conditions required it..
BlackWolf Turbo Lite Cabin 450 Tent(5) By: Nik on 11 January 2019I haven't actually taken the tent camping yet, however I did put it up in the backyard as soon as I received it for a couple of days. Very easy to pitch - you do need someone with some height though. I'm 6ft1 and a bit of a stretch, however no way my 5ft4 wife could've done the job! I also attached the screen room awning and one side panel (which came free with the tent). Both awesome. I love my BlackWolf tent and can't wait to get out in it!
BlackWolf Turbo Lite Cabin 450 Tent(1) By: Luise on 11 September 2018Totally love this model and size and up until this weekend was a huge BlackWolf fan..... our Turbo lite plus 240 leaked like a sieve in the rain. Not torrential rain. Just regular rain. And after reading some reviews am really concerned about even bothering to contact BlackWolf as their customer support is terrible. So disappointing as I so love their tents but the quality is terrible and for what you pay it’s no way worth it.
Tentworld ResponseHi Luise, really sorry to hear about your wet weekend. If the warranty process for these tents was not up to scratch, we would not sell them. Due to the price point our customers do have high expectations, and if BlackWolf failed to help us meet those expectations we wouldnt sell their gear. It's simply not worth the grief. We have plenty of other great tents to sell. IN regards to getting wet on your weekend, this does sound strange. Have you tested your tent at home before? It is unusual to hear it leak like this. What I think you will find when you test your tent at home is that you did get wet from condensation, not from your tent leaking. To avoid condensation, you have to ensure you keep adequate ventilation in all weather conditions. That means you have to keep windows open, all the time. Use the gusseted windows to keep ventilation happening, and the doors under the awning. If you test your tent at home using the garden hose, and it doesnt leak during this test. This is what happened. This is not a fault in the manufacture of the tent, but it means you were camping in moist conditions perfect for condensation to form. Sometimes it cant be avoided totally, but can definitely be minimised to the point where it doesnt bother you during the night but may occasionally mean some things are damp. If you want to talk more about this, or believe you do have a warranty claim. Please do email in reply to your invoice and we'll get things going for you. Kind Regards & Happy Camping ~ Tentworld team.
BlackWolf Turbo Lite Cabin 450 Tent(5) By: Nudge on 16 July 2018Purchased the tent for a big family trip to Tamala Station (Shark Bay WA) in July 2018. After the initial struggle of putting it up (I watched the Youtube video a dozen times) and securing the fly we sat down to a nice hot dinner before we were hit by a freak storm and howling winds. Happy to report that the tent held up and stayed dry inside. The awning didn't survive the night but that was partially due to the fact that we were unable to peg down the guy ropes as we kept hitting rock a few inches under the sand. Plenty of room inside (enough for a double inflatable mattress, 3 stretchers and luggage) as well as high enough to be able to stand up). Packing away is quick and easy and the bag is big enough that you don't need two people to zip it up. Highly recommend this tent.
