A good sized bed which is easy to set up and pack up, but does not seem as sturdy as the smaller stretchers I have used in the past. It rocks back and forth when you move on it, suggest maybe it needs diagonal braces between the legs to stop this.

ResponseGlad you mostly like your stretcher! Once you lay on it, you should find it stable. It is a bit wobbly if you stand over it shaking it though. Kind Regards & Happy Camping ~ Tentworld team.

Love it! Accidentally bought 2 as I forgot to update the cart but not to worry my mum loves it too. I’m ex Army and this is way easier to put together than the issued stuff. Highly recommend it! I bought the 900 wide swag to go on top but I think I could have made the 1100 wide swag work. Definitely worth considering.

This is not really a strong stretcher, it's shaking. I wouldn't recommend this product.
Tentworld
ResponseHmm... are you shaking it whilst standing over it? These stretchers do rely on weight being in the stretcher to stop it from wobbling around. Can you give this a try and let me know? If it still wobbles a lot, there is possibly a problem with your individual stretcher. Please let us know and we'll sort it out. However, if you were wobbling it whilst standing over it you should find it nice and steady when you're laying in it. This is one of our most popular stretchers in-store, where we have it on display due to its specifications and comfort tests. It's also popular online due to the rave reviews from fellow campers. In store we have these on display for our customers to try before they buy, but definitely the wobble test whilst standing above it is not the best test for this kind of equipment. I hope this helps! Kind Regards & Happy Camping ~ Tentworld team.

Awesome stretcher. This is my second as I wore the first one out through fair wear and tear. (approx 500 days in the open).
This is the only stretcher I will buy.

Well, the Darche XL100 is exactly what it says on the can: a 1 metre wide, sturdy, foldable camp stretcher. Perhaps not as flash as the US made TETON XXL Camp cot but as the TETON isn't available in Oz, the exchange rate and postage put it at three times the price of the Darche - and I very much doubt it could be significantly better than this unit.
I bought this to raise my 10 year old Darche hoop swag off the ground as my old bones feel the cold a lot more these days. This thing is solid. There's very little movement/wobble getting in or out of the swag (on/off the stretcher). The centre legs are right where your weight is as you manoeuvre on and off the unit and provide a feeling of stability.
Easy to set up, it's plenty wide enough for anyone to enjoy a comfy night's sleep - even side sleepers. The thing packs up reasonably well into the provided zip-up bag (which is of pretty good quality actually).
I have a Jet Tent Bunker and the Darche Swag on the XL100 in my kit, and although the Bunker is a great unit I prefer to sleep in my Darche setup.
I'm very happy with my purchase.

Needed a stretcher to fit the Burke and Wills redgum XL and came across the Darche XL100.
The XL100 at 1000mm wide fits the redgum swag at 1100mm perfectly, with 50mm of swag overhang to keep the rain off the stretcher for a dry nights sleep.
Have tried mates stretchers of same width and found them to be cheaply made and unstable making a sleepless night.
The Darche XL100 beats them all, more comfortable and solid than the others.
A must have for the swag campers.

Awesome quality Stretcher. I highly recommend this stretcher it's very strong and sturdy and quite big as well. We use it with a single swag on top and it make sleeping in a swag even more comfy.

Great stretcher. Camped on the Balonne River for a week and never had an issue with the bed. Nice and wide which was great for my XL swag, like sleeping in a bed. Very sturdy and solid, virtually no movement. Easy set up and the end bars were a breeze to get into position. Packs away to a compact storage bag and not too heavy. Quality product and I would recommend to anyone looking for a new stretcher. Mates I camped with are all off to buy one!!
Cheers,
Adrian

Great quality, Straightforward to setup. uncomplicated. comfortable. Quick and easy to erect and packs down into it's bag in a very short time.
Only 2 things could make this a perfect 5 star rating:
1. The end spars can sometimes be difficult to slot into the frame in the dark. There is a fair bit of tension on the sling which can make it a little hard to slot the end spar onto the tag in the side rail end piece... It could do with some luminous marking on the tag ends to help locate the end spar onto them in pitch darkness. Solution: set up camp with more available light !
2. There's nowhere on the end frame to attach a guy rope to hold up your dome swag (one without a ridgepole or central spar). So if you need guy ropes on the end of your swag, don't toss the tent pegs in the bin - you'll still need them. No Accessory available to use as a guy rope anchor either. Some form of alternative anchoring spar would be nice - similar to the spring spars that hold rooftop tent windows open.
Other than that, the stretcher bed is the single best improvement you can make to your sleep. no more rocks, no wet floors, no complaints. worth every cent. Great Stuff.
