This all-new Darche awning tent will allow you to set up within close proximity of your vehicle and drive away at any time, leaving your humble abode untouched. Attaching to your Eclipse Awning (sold separately), the Xtender can also be left free standing so you can get out there and live it up.

Made from Oxford Poly Ripstop PU canvas, with a PVC bucket floor and 22mm trigger lock poles, this awning tent is made to last on your adventure, so there's no need to worry about not making it to the end of your trip. The Xtender easily attaches to a 2.5m wide awning, or you can simply unzip it from the awning and leave it as a free standing tent. It has an extra awning panel included, a detachable fly, a rear all-weather gusset window on the tent and comes complete in a large carry bag. The Darche Xtender 2.5 Awning Tent is ideal for 4x4 touring, general camping and fishing trips!

Pleased with the quality and ease of setup. There is a discrepancy in the number of tent pegs supplied. The Booklet states there are 25 pegs but I could only count 18 supplied! Haven't had a chance to test the tent in the wild yet.

We purchased a Darche Extender Tent 2.5 for a three week trip to NW Australia. This tent like so many other things at the moment had to be ordered online without being able to see it first. Unbelievably, the windows CANNOT be opened from the inside of the tent. The bottom edge of the front door does not zip shut, the bottom edge of the back window does not zip shut so you cannot stop these flapping in the wind. The fly is missing a centre eyelet to attach a rope which means it is essentially useless and will touch the tent causing condensation to form inside, it also flaps away with any wind. All of the hinged poles are faulty, the pins drop out constantly which means the hinge just falls to bits. One of the poles is so poorly made it constantly jams either in or out and requires a lot of force to get it moving again. The pins and ties used the secure the poles the floor of the tent have started to tear away after only three weeks use. The tent is impossible to put up without two people if there is any kind of breeze and near impossible with one person in perfect conditions. The tent pegs supplied are far too lightweight for a tent like this and all are now bent. The front awning does not come with enough ropes to secure it properly. The instructions are a joke, seemingly written for a different version of this tent. We contacted Darche before leaving on the trip for advice about some of the above issues but never received a reply. To top all this off, when I took it back to Tentworld they said they will not accept Darche products in for repair or offer any kind of assistance and we have to deal directly with Darche which means sending this 17.5KG tent back to Sydney from Perth in the mail at our own expense. This is not acceptable, we purchased from Tentworld not Darche direct. This tent is NOT of merchantable quality and should not have been on sale in the first place.
