The OZtrail Hiker Fly makes the ideal personal shelter. The Hiker Fly is the perfect lightweight, compact protection from rain or sun. Carry on your hikes, treks, bushwalks in case you need shelter. Made from a strong UVTex fabric, with reinforced eyelets and factory sealed seams, this fly is made to last. It also features a central attachement loop for single point hanging.

I have enjoyed using the older green version of this for many years over a bivvy bag. These days I've switched to using a camping hammock & this new brown version is ideal as a rain & shade tarp over the hammock. It's not fancy or super light weight but are long lasting & very versatile. The Oztrail Hiker Fly is the best tarp at a very affordable price.
We bought this fly to use on top of our Darche Frontier double 1200 swag which we also purchased from Tentworld(last stock) as we had to go camping and we haven't season the swag yet. While at camping it rained and the fly did the job well. It's really waterproof and also easy to clean when a bird drop poos, just wipe it and its clean. Very happy with the product plus it also match our swag. It really looks good and neat.
I have owned this fly for over a year now and used it in summer and winter conditions. As shade, it does its job, but in the rain, it is not water proof.
In moderate to strong rain, this fly will protect you for about 20 minutes before it starts to leak. How do I know? I have sat under it in two thunderstorms and had to give up and get in my tent. The fly will drip from the seam but also just from the fly itself. Do not buy this fly if you want a waterproof covering.
I bought this Fly from the Midland Tentworld just prior to a solo 2 night motorcycle camping trip. It's compact size packed down very well as storage space was obviously limited. The fly covered my one man tent with plenty of room left over to shelter all of my gear and chair. Protection was excellent as it rained both nights and the fly performed very well. The multiple attached guy ropes enabled me to create various angles of pitch using sticks as poles.

Haven't tested in the field yet, but pleased to see that it DOES come with guys and 8 small but reasonable quality pegs (but no poles, which is fine and as advertised). Express delivery was also good (ordered Tuesday, shipped Wednesday, arrived in Tas on Thursday, and needed for the weekend! :-)
