Air beds have for a long time been the favourite of campers for their affordable price points, high levels of comfort and compact pack away size.
If you have never owned an air bed before. Please be aware that air mattresses are mostly very difficult (impossible) to inflate with your mouth and not fun. Some mattresses do come with air pumps included, others do not. Please take not of this and choose accordingly. Having the pump built in does make it extremely convenient for extra guest beds, but does mean you often cannot use the pump for anything else. Such as blowing up inflatable rafts etc for use on the water!
Please Note Tip: Car tyre compressors do not work well for blowing up air beds. They take forever!! This is because car tyres require high pressure, but comparitively have very little volume inside them. Some vacuum cleaners can be used in reverse to blow up air beds, but generally, we recommend buying an air bed pump seperately. You can view our range of air mattress pumps here.
